This book is an historical collection of materials from 10 years of gatherings, publications and worship services. There are also newly created rituals, prayers and poetry.
Part 1 defines the elements and characteristics of the Re-Imagining style of worship, including: feminist theology, the power of ritual, social action, inclusivity, telling our stories, art embodiment, silence, music, prayer, language and forming small groups.
Part 2 consists of resources ranging from uniquely Re-Imagining pieces (e.g. Biting the Apple and three Milk and Honey liturgies) through prayers, poems and rituals centering on social action, forgiveness, peace healing, relationships and theology. This book is 185 pages, 8-1/2"x11", comb bound, with 44 contributors. All of the material may be copied freely for use in worship and education (not for republication.)
All of the proceeds from the sale of this book will be given to UTS to fund and annual merit award for a student demonstrating innovation and creativity in Feminist Theology.
